A diamond reward system that gets students working

Some of my students did not want to work and had no motivation, so I started a reward system with plastic diamonds. - White diamond = 1 point - Blue diamond = 5 points Students earn diamonds for finishing worksheets, winning games and answering questions. They lose diamonds for breaking class rules. At the end of each class I collect the diamonds and add the points to each student's score in My Classroom. We look at the ranking at the start and end of class. The students love it and try much harder. The diamonds are "Ice Model Bag 500g Large 4cm Artificial Fake Acrylic Piece" on Coupang (link above).

We tried something similar in class. The reward system works great. They don't seem to care what they can buy with their rewards. They like to see their ranking. It's enough for them.
