Privacy policy

• We collect as little as we can.
• We never see your card number. The payment company handles that.
• We do not sell your data and we do not run advertising.
• Class Cookies has no AI in it. We do not send what you type about a student anywhere else, and what you do with your own export is yours.
• You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time.

Your account. Your email address, and a display name if you set one. If you sign in with Google we receive your email address and name from Google. We do not receive your Google password.

The country you teach in, if you tell us. You can choose it on your account page. It is not required. We use it only to count how many teachers use Class Cookies in each country, and we never look at a count small enough to point to one teacher. It is not shown to anyone else, it is never guessed from your internet address, and you can change it or remove it at any time.

Your subscription. Whether you have an active subscription, which plan, and when it renews. Payments are handled by Paddle, who act as the seller. Paddle takes your payment details on their own systems. We never receive or store your card number.

What you put in My Classroom. Class names, student names, an avatar for each student, points, and any comments you write. You choose what to type here. We ask you to use first names or nicknames only, not full names and not any other detail that identifies a child. You do not need more than that for the product to work.

What you share in The Staffroom. Anything you post, upload or comment on, and the fact that you posted it.

Basic technical data. Standard server logs, and the cookie described below. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Class Cookies is a tool for teachers. Students never sign in, never create an account, and never give us anything directly. The only information about a student on the platform is what their teacher chooses to type into My Classroom.

If you are a teacher at a school or academy, please follow whatever your school requires about student records before you type student information into any online tool, including this one.

My Classroom can export a class to an Excel file with student names and your comments. That file is built on our server and sent straight to you. We do not keep a copy, and we do not send it anywhere else. What you do with the file afterwards is up to you.

Class Cookies has no AI in it. Nothing on this site writes, reads or processes student comments with AI, and nothing is sent to an AI service.

We set one cookie so that you stay signed in. It is set on .classcookies.com so that signing in once also signs you in on the game pages, which sit on addresses like mangomafia.classcookies.com. That is the only reason for it. There are no advertising cookies and no third party tracking scripts.

The free tools work with no account, so they set no sign-in cookie.

Our database and file storage are hosted by Supabase, in their Seoul region in South Korea. The website is hosted by Vercel. Payments and billing records are held by Paddle. Each of these companies processes data on our instructions.

If you are outside South Korea, your data will be stored there. Some of these providers operate globally, so data may be handled in other countries as part of running the service.

Only the companies above, and only so the service can run. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

If you post something publicly in The Staffroom, it is visible to anyone on the internet, including search engines. Do not put student information in a public post.

The name on your discussions is one you choose. Before your first discussion or reply, we ask you what name to show. It is shown on the page with what you wrote, and anyone can see it. You can choose to post without a name, you can change it later for what you write next, and you can ask us to take it off everything you have already written. The name on your account is separate and stays private.

We keep your account and its contents while your account exists. If your subscription ends, nothing is deleted. Your classes, students, comments, scores, word lists, sentence lists and Staffroom collections stay in your account, and you can read them at any time, whether you subscribe or not. You can subscribe again later and carry on where you left off.

If you ask us to delete your account, we delete it and the data attached to it. We may keep billing records where the law requires us to.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If the change is a significant one we will tell you by email.
